This was my first camping trip and it was really nice. Peaceful and clean and quiet. They have little hiking trails and a scavenger hunt for the kids. There was a scorpion in the bathroom as a surprise!!! Lol But I recommend this place if you enjoy camping. Someone had caught a whole lot 9f big catfish that looked good to fry up too
Great place to camp but make reservations! Cabin and RV sites fill up quickly. The restrooms and showers are always clean. The swimming area is awesome, really clean with plenty of covered pick nick areas. Play ground is very close too.
Nice camp grounds, clean restrooms, friendly people. I stayed in a screen shelter. They are set up nice and in good shape. But if you like to cook on the fire like I do, there is no grill on the fire ring. They do however have a stand alone grill.
Week days are a quiet time to visit. We saw a brown creeper (bird), which is seldom seen in this area. Lots of deer were out too, in the late afternoon. Peaceful.
We love this State Park. The cabins are nice and come with linens so no need to bring your own sheets and towels. The walking trail is nice and if you love geocaching there are several in the park.
