I called their office with a simple question. After 300 automated voice recordings I was asked to press 1 if the info was helpful or 2 if it wasn't and none of it was helpful at all so of course I press 2 and then they say press 1 to end the call. How in the world do you get a live person on the other line.

My pleasant is the only office is in this area that usually has the doors open and always there. THIS OFFICE IS AWFUL....I have had nothing but issues with either postings on the door of giving driving test, To locking the door at 4:45. I drive from Winnsboro, take off work three times within a two week period and still can’t take care of business. UNBELIEVABLE! And Quitman office is worse.

Currently a resident of Dallas, TX. After having applied for my Driver's License at the Plano DPS, Sulphur Springs was a walk in the park. Came here for my driving test due to the lack of availability of immediate dates at any other office. Small, cozy, warm place with a friendly and helpful staff. Waiting time was 10 minutes and the test took another 10. I was out in 29 minute with my Driver's license in hand. If you're a resident of Dallas or any of its nearby cities and can afford to take a day off, I would suggest Sulphur Springs DPS without second thoughts.

Terrible! had to miss work for license renewal just to be told they were only open for driving tests. I am not a state employee who gets paid for missing work. Can't even call to see if the office is doing renewals. Told the phone is answered in Austin. That's a lie! No one in Austin answers the phone. lol Think the state wants you to get caught with an expired license so they can get more revenue. Why can't the troopers sitting in the office doing nothing give driving tests???

How many times does one need to call Austin complaining about this location? The VERY rude lady exclaiming at 4:15 she can't do an ID renewal because blah blah blah. Bottom line...not my problem if you are understaffed as you claim. Personally, I think she's just LAZY and wants to run out the door at exactly 5 pm. If your hours are until 5 pm, you are open until 5 pm. If you can't conduct normal business after 4:15 pm, you close at 4:15 pm. This rude lady is useless!! What does it take to make this place run efficiently? First order of business, clean house! I'm sure a lot of people would love those jobs.
